CHECK OUT THE SCANNER!
CHECK OUT THIS FILM GUYS...IGFdb always wants to shed light on guerilla filmmakers that use their imaginations to achieve their goals. Filmmaker Gerard Lough created the many special effects shots in camera with stop motion and light painting animation.
The film was made independently after potential backers and producers declined to be involved, afraid that the complex effects would send the project over budget and behind shedule (it didnt).
'Deviant' is another short film of mine which has been out for a year and has many admirers (and a few angry detractors too) and has been shown on TV in Europe and at many festivals. The film is about a serial prowler who makes a mistake one one of his nocturnal visits that will prove to be his downfall.
Recently, the film was pulled down by YouTube because they claimed it was too explicit - despite the fact has been up on the site for one year. The offending scene was removed and the film is now back up. With a bit research you'll soon learn what happened in the scene that got cut. This film had the same team as THE SCANNER as once again the music was done by Cian Furlong, Michael Parle took the lead role, Greg Rouladh did the photography and I directed. Attached are stills and links. Hope you enjoy the film.
Don't miss your chance to get a copy of "A Guerilla In The Midst" before it sells out...it can be purchased through The Sundance Media Group at www.vasst.com Also available at the Samuel French Bookstore in Hollywood.
A must for all filmmakers! An insight into the world of no budget film making using “Bred in the Bone”, as a blueprint. The method and the commitment needed to complete, not just a project, but a thought-provoking and valuable motion picture. As a BONUS, a copy of "Bred In The Bone" will come with each copy.
