Well, obviously one of the trademarks of guerrilla filmmaking is that it's done on an extremely low budget and usually without permits/permission. How, then, do you get good audio and lighting, especially for nighttime scenes, without attracting attention?
My films are usually shot with a SONY camera because they shoot better at night...I use no lightint or grip because it attracts attention...I try to find interestingly lit areas and try to use a ninja where possible...although the ninja did get me busted once...a ninja is a small light that can be held or mounted on the camera only a few inches long but it has a dimmer and is quite powerful...Sound is tough...a guerilla film is usually judged by the content rather than the production value though. check out a couple of trailers...the Craving heart is one of mine...you can find it here or on my film website www.xristosproductions.com It was shot with only a ninja. Also check out http://www.kerberosbites.com/pages/kerberostrailer_new_music.html for a higher quality Guerilla film...much higher budget but still under 100K...Craving was 8K
Don't miss your chance to get a copy of "A Guerilla In The Midst" before it sells out...it can be purchased through The Sundance Media Group at www.vasst.com Also available at the Samuel French Bookstore in Hollywood.
