Well, a whole year has passed and the AOF returns for 2010 with more films, more stars, more awards and more ways to thank our filmmakers and writers than ever before. First of all, a great thanks to last years supporters, sponsors, advertisers and stars; Morgan Sheppard, Ron Perlman, Kim Coates, James Lew, Eric Bana, Rick Peters and many others. Also, a great welcome to those celebrities who we will welcome to the festivities in 2010 including Talia Shire, Anthony De Longis, R.D. Call, Kim Coates (Again!) and a number of others who will be named as confirmations are received. We welcome new sponsors; EVS, In Magazine, Japon Bistro, El Portal, The Coffee Tree, Openfilm and the Sheraton and the great Howard Haberman of our Host Hotel, THE SHERATON for their support of the 2010 AOF Event. With an expanded, party, seminar and event schedule, surely there will be something for everyone.Don't forget the Free Events like the Sunday Symposium with Studio Executive Alan Bailey, the new Free Actor's and Writer's Symposium and a new event, the Anthony De Longis Making Action Count Seminar which is brought to you by the R.I.O.T. Act and sponsored by In Magazine and the Sheraton Hotel.Order Making Action Count Tickets Here.Dear AOF Team,Thanks to your hard work, I've been inducted into the WGAw through the Independent Writers Caucus! This has some pretty great implications for the festival, as AOF was THE festival they deemed prestegious enough for their criteria. Hopefully this will pave the way for other winning writers and give the AOF the marketing gravitas of other WGA qualifying festivals like Slamdance, Sundance, and Austin. I'll be doing everything in my power to promote the Action On Film Festival to other writers and filmmakers, but really-- you do such a damn good job, I don't have to do much convincing! Thanks so much for everything! I am eternally grateful for your help and support over the years -Justin Owensby AOF Festival 2010 Tentative Event Schedule and InformationFor More Information e-mail: Info@aoffest.com or call 323.878.5522 323.878.5522Friday July, 23th 2010Opening Day / Filmmaker Welcome / Film Screenings / Parties (Location Time - TBA) / Filmmaker InterviewsSaturday July, 24th 2010Filmmaker Welcome / Film Screenings / Parties (Location Time - TBA) / Filmmaker Interviews / Area 9 CelebrationSunday July, 25th 2010Alan Bailey Seminar / Anthony De Longis Seminar / Film Screenings / Parties (Location Time - TBA) / Filmmaker InterviewsMonday July, 26th 2010Actor's Seminar / Filmmaker Welcome / Film Screenings / Parties (Location Time - TBA) / Filmmaker InterviewsTuesday July, 27th 2010Private Event / Filmmaker Welcome / Film Screenings / Parties (Location Time - TBA) / Filmmaker Interviews / Specialty Canadian PartyWednesday July 28th 2010Private Writer's Pre-event Party / Writer's Dinner and Award Show / Film Screenings / Parties (Location Time - TBA) / Filmmaker InterviewsThursday July, 29th 2010 Black Tie Dinner Pre-event Party / Black Tie Dinner and Award Show / Film Screenings / Parties (Location Time - TBA)Friday July, 30th 2010 Schedule Subject To Change without notice please check this page for regular for updatesSchedule Subject To Change without notice please check this page for regular for updatesImportant AddressesRegency's Academy Theaters 1003 E.
We are always interested and keen to, not just help fellow filmmakers but to spotlight them and help in whatever way we can...This is a project by member Adrian Collins and I thought we'd feature it as it was a little different to what we normally get to see...“The River of Life” a short film project, is about the story of a soul seeking reincarnation in the physical world: http://sites.google.com/site/theriveroflifeproject/ The message is that women who have terminated their pregnancies need not be burdened with a lifetime of guilt, because in essence they are merely returning that soul to the astral in agreement with their Life Contract. The story is derived from actual demonstrations of a psychic medium whose observations were later verified by the would-be mother. Here is the Craigslist ad: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/tfr/1571618546.html attached is the script.Best of luck Adrian!!!

Three names to watch...Timothy McNeil, Christopher Thornton and, oh well, you already know Mark Ruffalo. All three studied together at the world famous Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles and now are burning up the big screen...The thoughtfully penned Sympathy for Delicious, written by Thornton, starred Himself and McNeil and was the directorial debut of Ruffalo at SUNDANCE this year. Winning a SPECIAL JURY AWARD is testament to the work, skill and pedigree of these three friends. Now, SMALL DAYS, originally a play that starred McNeil and Thornton and also directed by Ruffalo is also heading for the big screen inJuly 2010 in Pasedena at the Action On Film Festival. McNeil, who who wrote the play and screenplay will reprise the lead role as Henry Smalls, with the supporting role of Earl being played by Stan Harrington who also directs...Watch out for this thoughtful and intelligent story.
