We are always interested and keen to, not just help fellow filmmakers but to spotlight them and help in whatever way we can...This is a project by member Adrian Collins and I thought we'd feature it as it was a little different to what we normally get to see...
“The River of Life” a short film project, is about the story of a soul seeking reincarnation in the physical world: http://sites.google.com/site/theriveroflifeproject/The message is that women who have terminated their pregnancies need not be burdened with a lifetime of guilt, because in essence they are merely returning that soul to the astral in agreement with their Life Contract. The story is derived from actual demonstrations of a psychic medium whose observations were later verified by the would-be mother. Here is the Craigslist ad: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/tfr/1571618546.html attached is the script.
Best of luck Adrian!!!

Three names to watch...Timothy McNeil, Christopher Thornton and, oh well, you already know Mark Ruffalo. All three studied together at the world famous Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles and now are burning up the big screen...The thoughtfully penned Sympathy for Delicious, written by Thornton, starred Himself and McNeil and was the directorial debut of Ruffalo at SUNDANCE this year. Winning a SPECIAL JURY AWARD is testament to the work, skill and pedigree of these three friends. Now, SMALL DAYS, originally a play that starred McNeil and Thornton and also directed by Ruffalo is also heading for the big screen in July 2010 in Pasedena at the Action On Film Festival. McNeil, who who wrote the play and screenplay will reprise the lead role as Henry Smalls, with the supporting role of Earl being played by Stan Harrington who also directs...
Watch out for this thoughtful and intelligent story.

Here's a new film by Gerald Lough who we've followed recently called THE STOLEN WINGS.
Much like his last film THE SCANNER, the visual effects are all in camera and it stars Michael Parle with another cool electro score from composer Cian Furlong.
The film can now be seen on YouTube in HD at the link below:
Bublenutz Productions (BNP) received the Xristos Award this year at the Action on Film Festival (AOF) and Welcome to Dreadville (WTD): The Lottery, episode 6 was also nominated for best guerilla short. BNP owner Jason Patfield was thrilled to receive such a pristine accolade, WTD has been featured in festivals across the world and finds that AOF; which was also rated top 25 film festivals 2009; has provided a excellent venue to showcase their work. Welcome to Dreadville is an episodic series developed in 2006, BNP has written over a hundred treatments for the series and have produced 7 episodes to date. For more info on (WTD) you can check out IMDB.COM http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2343683/ You can also check out the last episode WTD:The Lottery at http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=61996909 series

CHECK OUT THIS FILM GUYS...IGFdb always wants to shed light on guerilla filmmakers that use their imaginations to achieve their goals. Filmmaker Gerard Lough created the many special effects shots in camera with stop motion and light painting animation.
The film was made independently after potential backers and producers declined to be involved, afraid that the complex effects would send the project over budget and behind shedule (it didnt).
'Deviant' is another short film of mine which has been out for a year and has many admirers (and a few angry detractors too) and has been shown on TV in Europe and at many festivals. The film is about a serial prowler who makes a mistake one one of his nocturnal visits that will prove to be his downfall.
Recently, the film was pulled down by YouTube because they claimed it was too explicit - despite the fact has been up on the site for one year. The offending scene was removed and the film is now back up. With a bit research you'll soon learn what happened in the scene that got cut. This film had the same team as THE SCANNER as once again the music was done by Cian Furlong, Michael Parle took the lead role, Greg Rouladh did the photography and I directed. Attached are stills and links. Hope you enjoy the film.
Don't miss your chance to get a copy of "A Guerilla In The Midst" before it sells out...it can be purchased through The Sundance Media Group at www.vasst.com Also available at the Samuel French Bookstore in Hollywood.
A must for all filmmakers! An insight into the world of no budget film making using “Bred in the Bone”, as a blueprint. The method and the commitment needed to complete, not just a project, but a thought-provoking and valuable motion picture. As a BONUS, a copy of "Bred In The Bone" will come with each copy.
